No more soup for you

The final episode of "The Soup" could be retitled "Mulligan Stew" thanks to ingredients that include Nathan Fillion, Haley Joel Osment, Eric Idle and Minnesotan Rich Sommer. Look for host Joel McHale to announce that he's donating his bad-boy smirk to the Smithsonian. 9 p.m. Friday, E!

Come together

Willie Nelson, Steven Tyler, Kris Kristofferson, John Fogerty and Sheryl Crow are among the performers taking the stage for "Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert," a special taped earlier this month at Madison Square Garden. 8 p.m. Saturday, AMC

The ties that bind

"Saturday Night Live" attempts to make up for a rather ho-hum season by bringing in Amy Poehler and Tina Fey to host, while Bruce Springsteen handles musical chores. Bruce, we know you're promoting a reissue of "The River," but is it too much to request "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town"? Signed, Every Single Bruce Fan. 10:30 p.m. Saturday, KARE, Ch. 11

My favorite things

With all apologies to Carrie Underwood, the hills just don't come fully alive without Julie Andrews' twirl. See for yourself in 1965's "The Sound of Music," a longtime holiday favorite that now includes on-screen lyrics so you can be reminded that your grandfather has a terrible singing voice, especially after five glasses of eggnog. 6 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5
