The never-ending story

Peter Jackson's latest epic series comes to a close with 2014's "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," with Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) attempting to stop the destruction of Middle Earth. Next up for Jackson: a 12-part take on the life and times of Soupy Sales. 7 p.m. Saturday, HBO

Swing time

Before the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, you didn't mean a thing if you didn't have that swing. "Starlight Ballroom (My Music)" pays tribute to the likes of Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, Count Basie and other folks who made Lawrence Welk swoon. 6 p.m. Sunday, TPT 2

Say yes to the 'Dress'

Has someone clipped the wings off former "Charlie's Angels" star Cheryl Ladd? Lori Loughlin is dying to find out in "Garage Sale Mystery: The Wedding Dress," the latest film based on the novels by Suzi Weinert. 8 p.m. Sunday, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
