FROZEN FOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Quinnipiac vs. North Dakota

7 p.m. Saturday • Amalie Arena, Tampa, Fla. • TV: ESPN2

Quinnipiac (32-3-7): The top-seeded Bobcats edged Boston College in the national semifinals because their special teams played well and so did goalie Michael Garteig. Quinnipiac scored its 46th power-play goal of the season — that's the third most nationally. The penalty kill permitted BC only one goal on five power-play chances and Garteig made 34 saves. … Junior Sam Anas was named an East first team All-America forward; he leads the Bobcats with 24 goals.

North Dakota (33-6-4): The Fighting Hawks will try to win their eighth national title, but first since 2000. … UND is led by a program record-tying four All-America players. Freshman forward Brock Boeser of Burnsville made the first team while forward Drake Caggiula, defenseman Troy Stecher and goalie Cam Johnson the second team. Boeser, the NCHC rookie of the year, has 26 goals and 56 points, both team highs. Caggiula, a senior, has 23 goals and 49 points. He has seven game-winners.
