NAMI holds mental illness workshops and support groups in the south metro

National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota (NAMI) has several upcoming workshops and support groups in the south metro. For more information about NAMI or its programs, go to www.namihelps.org.

• Kidshop in Apple Valley. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd. Call Kara Bennett at 651-645-2948, ext. 114.

• Biweekly support group for families. 6 to 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.

• Family-to-Family, a 12-week course to educate families. 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays starting Sept. 22 at Trinity Church, 10658 210th St. W. in Lakeville. Call Joan at 612-205-7080.
