The name of a 56-year-old man from Racine, Minn., who was killed Thursday in a crash in southeastern Minnesota was released Friday by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Harold O. Bredesen was driving a Chevy pickup north on Hwy. 63 about 3 miles south of Stewartville when his vehicle collided with a semitrailer truck driven by Sarjant Nanrey, 40, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bredesen, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Nanrey was not injured.

It remains unclear who was at fault, the patrol said. Alcohol was not detected in either driver.
