N. Minneapolis shooting leaves man, 42, dead and another man wounded

The man who was wounded suffered serious injuries, police said. Violence was not random, according to authorities.

Two men were shot, one fatally, in north Minneapolis early Thursday, authorities said.

The shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 2300 block of Thomas Avenue N., police said. The other person shot suffered "serious injuries" and was taken by ambulance to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, a statement from police said.

No arrests have been made in what authorities say was not random violence.

The man who died was 42 years old. The man who was wounded is 27, according to police. Their identities have yet to be released.

Police said callers told them that they heard people arguing just before the shots rang out.
