'Mythbusters' captures gun firing at staggering 73,000 frames per second

Gun nuts and science nerds may have found their common ground in this ultra-cool new video from Discovery's "Mythbusters."

Hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage used a camera called The Phantom that records footage at 73,000 frames per second to capture a bullet exiting a handgun.

It was "really cool," per Savage. He isn't wrong.

The chatty Savage was nearly left speechless by the experiment, so who are we to carry on? We've purposefully kept this post short, so just watch the video.
