M.anifest brought some friends along for his slick new music video. The Minneapolis rapper (by way of Ghana) has formed a new group called A.R.M. with Krukid (from Las Vegas, by way of Uganda) and Seattle producer Budo. A.R.M. stands for African Rebel Movement (or Artists Representing the Motherland, M.anifest says). The trio's soulful song, "Heaven Only Knows" features a hot verse from Brother Ali. Here it is:

The video was shot by Sidenberg|Tesnow, of Six-Ton Productions. The directing team has been on a tear lately, shooting videos for several Twin Cities rappers, including some upcoming vids for Brother Ali. "Heaven Only Knows" was shot in Loring Park and on Nicollet Avenue near Market Bar-B-Que.

M.anifest said A.R.M. is looking to release its first album, "Uprising," later this winter.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
