Multiple killings in Minnesota

A list of multiple killings in Minnesota dating back to the late 1980s:

1988: David Brom, then 16, of suburban Rochester, used an ax to kill his parents, a brother and their sister.

1994: A gang firebombing killed five children of the Coppage family in St. Paul.

1996: Paul Crawford, 72, who lived on a lake near Sauk Centre, shot and killed a neighbor couple and two of their children, then committed suicide.

1998: Khoua Her killed her six children in their St. Paul apartment.

1999: Primitivo Juan Rivas killed his girlfriend, her two daughters and his two children. He set fire to his house near Lonsdale before killing himself.

2000: Larry Dame murdered his sister and four other family members in their home in Lino Lakes.

2003: Christopher Earl and Jonathan Carpenter killed William Schwartz, 88, and his daughter Claudia in their northeast Minneapolis home in April. Later that month Earl and Carpenter killed Holly Chromey and her children, Jerrod and Katie Zapzalka, in their Long Prairie home.

2005: Jeff Weise, 16, killed his grandfather and grandfather's girlfriend at their home, then drove to Red Lake High School and opened fire, killing seven others before taking his own life.
