MPS superintendent responds to criticism of new suspension review

"Some have accused me of discriminating against our white students. That could not be further from the truth."

Superintendent Bernadeia Johnson said critics of her new suspension review policy are wrong when they say she is disciriminating against white students.

In a letter published in the Washington Post, Johnson writes about the systemic racism that has been present in MInneapolis Public Schools.

Monday a member of the U.S. Commision on Civil Rights wrote Johnson a letter questioning the legality of her new policy.
