A Minneapolis man has been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting two young girls left in his care.

Victor Ramos-Mijangos, 27, is accused of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly raping the girls, ages 6 and 8, according to charges filed Wednesday in Hennepin County District Court.

Charges say the girls' grandmother contacted police when the girls came to her house to play with other children, and a 10-year-old told the grandmother that she should listen to what the younger girls were saying about "being touched."

The girls then told their grandmother and later investigators that Ramos-Mijangos had forced oral and anal sex with them, according to the charges.

The grandmother told police that Ramos-Mijangos frequently watched the girls because their mother spends a "substantial" amount of time at a local casino. The charges said that the timeframe of the alleged assaults had not been determined.

Ramos-Mijangos was being held in the Hennepin County jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
