Moving on: Wild fans talk about getting past the North Stars era

The Wild's first-round playoff opponent, the Dallas Stars, stirred up memories of losing Minnesota's former NHL franchise.

Minnesotans miss the North Stars.

The retro jerseys were scattered throughout Xcel Energy Center for Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round playoff series between the Wild and Dallas Stars on Monday.

The memories of losing the franchise will always hurt. However, Minnesota hockey fans are finally healing and moving on 23 years after losing the North Stars in 1993.

"Oh it was a tough time," Joe Hines of Wayzata said. "People were upset with Norm Green. ... It was too bad."
