Liberty Falls, 54321

When this bit of physical comedy first bowed in 2015, critics and audiences alike swooned at a work the ensemble describes as an operatic comedy. Now director Dominique Serrand and his cohorts in comedy are reviving this send-up of romance, racial attitudes, aging and grief in small-town Wisconsin. Steven Epp plays the title character, whose 105th birthday gives the town an excuse to celebrate. Among those playing the townspeople are Christina Baldwin as the entertainment director, Jennifer Baldwin Peden as a mom-of-many, Nathan Keepers as a busybody volunteer and Heidi Bakke as Liberty's granddaughter and caretaker, Serendipity — Dipity for short — who causes hiccups in the family when she introduces her boyfriend (Dom Wooten), who's black. (Jan. 5-Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Thu.-Sun., Lab Theater, 700 N. 1st St., Mpls. $15-$32. 612-333-7977 or thelabtheater.org.)

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
