Kristen Bell plays Leigh, a 29-year-old having an early midlife crisis in the comedic drama "The Lifeguard" (R for strong sexuality, brief graphic nudity, drug use, language and a disturbing image — some involving teens). Leaving New York City for her childhood Connecticut home and independent life for her old room in her parents' house, she returns to her high school job as a condo complex lifeguard. Dipping back into the pool of youthful irresponsibility brings its own problems as Leigh's decisions are no wiser in her second childhood than they were in her stab at grown-up life. The film was not screened for review. We'll post one at www.startribune.com/movies as soon as one becomes available. (Eden Prairie) COLIN COVERT
