Mounds View scored two touchdowns in the final six minutes to send the game to overtime, then scored in each of the extra sessions for a wild homecoming victory. Mounds View tied the score on a 32-yard touchdown pass from Joe Frederickson (right) to Tucker Gran with 31.5 seconds left. Frederickson hit Ryan Kaczynski for a 6-yard touchdown in the first overtime. Fullback Matt Hunt scored the game-winner on a 3-yard dive.

Key of the game: Up 27-13 with less than seven minutes to go, Stillwater chose to pass twice instead of running the ball and using up the clock. Both passes fell incomplete, and the Ponies gave the ball back to Mounds View with enough time to rally.

Quote: "These guys just never get down on themselves. They keep battling and always believe they can win." — Mounds View coach Jim Galvin

One thing to know: Stillwater's Zach Knox rushed 48 times for 280 yards and three touchdowns.
