Motorcyclist killed in Washington County crash

The fatal crash occurred just before 8 p.m. on Saturday.

A motorcyclist was killed late Saturday in a rollover crash in southern Washington County, the State Patrol said.

The fatal crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Hwy. 61, near Leeder Avenue in Cottage Grove.

The victim was heading south on the highway when the 2007 Yamaha motorcycle crashed.

State Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Tiffani Nielson said Saturday night that authorities would release the victim's name after next-of-kin have been notified.
