A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night after he was struck by a car in north Minneapolis.

The man, who hasn't been named, and another male motorcyclist were traveling south on Penn Avenue N. about 4:30 p.m. when a car going west on 23rd Avenue N. pulled into the intersection, hitting both motorcycles.

The intersection has stop signs on 23rd Avenue, police spokesman John Elder said.

All three drivers were taken to North Memorial Medical Center; injuries to the other motorcyclist and the car's driver were not life-threatening.

Neither cyclist was wearing a helmet, Elder said.
