Motorcyclist dies in West St. Paul crash

A motorcyclist died Monday after colliding with a car in West St. Paul, authorities said.

The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. at S. Robert Street and Butler Av. E., according to West St. Paul police.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was a 50-year-old man, police said. His name will be released by the Hennepin County medical examiner's office, police said.

The 66-year-old man driving the car was not hurt and is cooperating with the investigation.

The accident is under investigation and the State Patrol is doing a reconstruction of the scene to determine what happened, West St. Paul police said.
