A motorcyclist was killed before dawn in a collision with a car over the weekend in Lakeville, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred about 5:10 a.m. Saturday on County Road 46, about 50 yards east of Galaxie Avenue, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office.
Killed was Jacob G. Lindholm, 29, who lived about 4 miles west of the crash scene in Lakeville, the medical examiner’s office said. Police said Lindholm was not wearing a helmet.
Authorities have yet to reveal the circumstances leading up to the crash. The car’s driver was not hurt, police said.
Police did say alcohol likely was a factor in the crash, but they declined to say whether one or both drivers had been drinking.
