A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after broadsiding a vehicle turning onto a west metro highway, the State Patrol said.
Parker Nelson, 20, of Wayzata, died at the scene of the crash on Hwy. 7 at Eureka Road in Shorewood, the patrol said.
According to the crash report, Nelson was heading west on Hwy. 7 about 6:10 p.m. when he struck a Honda Pilot that had entered the intersection while making a left turn.
Nelson was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
The driver of the Pilot, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to Ridgeview Hospital with unspecified injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
