A 48-year-old Red Wing man was killed Tuesday night in a car-motorcycle crash in Wabasha County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Daniel Syverson, 48, of Red Wing, was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Hwy. 60 near County Road 3 in Chester Township as the driver of a Hyundai Elantra was headed east. The vehicles collided about 9:17 p.m., the patrol said.

Syverson, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, the patrol said.

Jerome A. Miller, 53, of Lake City, the driver of the Hyundai, was not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
