Adjust your plans accordingly: "Battleship" has been pushed from August 2011 to Memorial Day 2012. When that day comes, remember where you first learned the news, how disappointed you felt, then settle back in your seat because your wait is over.
What is "Battleship"? It's a movie based on the board game. Yes. That is correct. The "You sunk my battleship!" board game. Not to say it doesn't lend itself to high drama:
Better: it stars Tom Arnold. If this movie makes money they will license every board game in the world, and you will find yourself in the multiplex in 2014 watching a trailer for "Hungry Hungry Hippos 3D 2" and "Operation," a gritty reboot of the invasive-surgery simulator.
