State Rep. Mike Obermueller, DFL-Eagan, released the following statement congratulating Republican Doug Wardlow on his election to the Minnesota House of Representatives: "Over the course of a campaign, you get to learn a lot about your opponent and I've seen firsthand that Doug Wardlow is a hard worker who cares deeply about our community and our state. While we have very different ideas about how to get things done, I have no doubts about Doug's sincerity and his commitment to putting Minnesota back on track. "I congratulate him on a hard-fought, well-earned victory and I wish him and his family the best. They're about to begin an amazing journey in public service and I know they'll make us proud." Wardlow won 52 percent of the vote to Obermueller's 48 percent.
