More Soaring Temperatures Friday

The Rocky Mountain region experienced temperatures way above normal Thursday,and the unseasonably warm weather will be felt through the Central statesFriday.Across the southern Plains, 80s will be commonplace, and 70s will occur toNorth Dakota.

The northern Plains will cool down a bit for the weekend, but from Kansassouthward, temperatures will remain 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

At this time, no extremely cold weather is foreseen for the Central or Westernpart of the country. Over the next several days, the chilliest pushes of airwill be aimed at the Great Lakes and Northeast, and even these places will havenothing unusual.
