More Snow on the Way

February 19, 2010 at 1:25PM

We've had a little break from winter storms this week, but winter is notthrough dishing out the bad stuff yet. You don't have to have a doctoratedegree to know that cold air to the north and storms going by to the south inFebruary mean SNOW.There is a little storm pressing across the central Plains now, which willspread light snow onto the Plains through today. This one won't be too bad, blanketing southeastern Nebraska and northeastern Kansas through Indiana withlight accumulations through tonight.

The storm pressing into California today is the one to fret over. Thatdisturbance will produce snow through the central Rockies Saturday, before thebad weather shifts out across the Great Plains Sunday. The Ohio Valley andNortheast can expect that winter storm early next week.

This very well could be a disruptive snowfall for a large area from Kansas toNew England, but it does not appear it will turn into another giant.
