More Snow in the Great Lakes

Arctic air will continue blasting southward over the Great Lakes today. Thiswill allow lake-effect snow to continue over the area. Since Friday, snowfalltotals have topped 3 feet in spots due to the relentless snow showers andsqualls.Today, an additional several inches of snow will pile up along the areasdownwind of the lakes. Up to another foot of snow will fall through tonightjust southeast of lakes Huron and Erie.

Motorists traveling within the affected regions should prepare for hazardouswinter driving with drastic shifts in visibility and road condition over shortdistances. In heavy bands, falling and blowing snow will sharply lowervisibility.
