Songsters Moore By Four have a return engagement at the Lab Theater, it was announced today by producer Mary Leer. In 1986, when Leer ran Ruby's Cabaret, she introduced the group made up of Sanford Moore (music director) and singers Yolande Bruce, Ginger Commodore, Connie Evingson and Dennis Spears. Their swing-era repertoire, their high-'80s fashion sense and their musicmaking ability propelled them to group and solo careers in cabaret, concert halls and theaters here and elsewhere. Moore By Four brings back the "Cotton Club Revue" for four nights, Oct. 8-11. Check out the then-and-now photos, below, and call 612-333-7977 for tickets, or click here.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
