Psychedelic/experimental Minneapolis record label Moon Glyph -- whose cassette-spun operation I wrote about last month -- set up a merch stand at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago two weekends ago and apparently made the most of it. The little-indie-imprint-that-could earned a write-up in the Pitchfork-affiliated psychedelic-underground site Altered Zones, plus it handed out download codes for a stellar new 14-track sampler to thousands of music-geeky fans. Local bands on the giveaway vicariously earning the exposure include Buffalo Moon, Tender Meat, Velvet Davenport, Ghostband, Claps and Food Pyramid.

Turns out, you didn't have to be a Pitchfork Fest ticketholder to land a copy of the new anthology. The label is now offering it free to everyone via this download link (safe to click; although the music is nowhere near safe). Here's the full lineup on the sampler:

1. Buffalo Moon - "Black Magic"
2. Velvet Davenport - "Weather"
3. Dead Luke - "If You Love Me"
4. Magic Castles - "Roger Beguine"
5. Forma - "FORMA 145A"
6. Food Pyramid - "ATM"
7. Xander Harris - "Redemption In Blood"
8. Claps - "Glory, Glory"
9. Larry Wish & His Guys - "On One Condition"
10. Camden - "New Valley of Death"
11. Lee Noble - "Tattooed Eyes in Jail" (KXLU) (excerpt)
12. Dylan Ettinger - "ACC_01"
13. Ghostband - "Melusine"
14. Tender Meat - "Brenda's Closet"
