The Moody Blues have not only scaled down their lineup but they've downsized their venue of choice. Two years after performing at Target Center, the Moodies will set up June 9 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis. The group consists of the core trio of Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge, the only original member (though the other two signed on in 1966, two years after the band was formed in England). Actually, the Moodies have been a trio since flutist/percussionist Ray Thomas retired in 2002. Four musicians, including two keyboardists, tour with the Moody Blues. The group, known for such classic-rock smashes as "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon," has not released a studio album of new material since "Strange Times" in 1999 (unless you count the holiday-themed "December" in 2003). Ticket, priced from $53.50 to $103.50, will go on sale at noon Saturday at the State Theatre box office and Ticketmaster outlets and 800-745-3000.
