Money for Minnesota

The House spending bill contains funding for a number of projects in Minnesota. Here are highlights:

$195 million: Help rebuild the Interstate 35W bridge.

$55 million: The Northstar Corridor from Minneapolis to Big Lake.

$50 million: Security at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in 2008.

$10 million: The planned Central Corridor light-rail line that would link downtowns in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

$2.9 million: Greater Minnesota transit bus system.

$1.1 million: St. Cloud airport land acquisition.

$850,000: Work on Hwy. 14 between Waseca and Owatonna and between North Mankato and New Ulm.

$800,000 : The St. Cloud Metrobus project in St. Cloud.
