Local artist t-shirt mart

Just in time for short-sleeve weather, the Walker is hosting locals who know how to transform cotton basics into something special.

STYLES FOR SMILES

Laine Sou Weinberg of Kokoon is having a fashion show, meet-and-greet and shopping party with 20 percent of sales being donated to Project Healthy Smile, which provides dental supplies and oral health education to underprivileged kids. Also enjoy complimentary mini-makeovers.

INSIDEOUT

This fashion presentation features salon-style vignettes with live models, hair and makeup demonstrations and a live photo shoot. Mingle with models and designers.

LAURA FULK RUNWAY SHOW: TO THE ENDS OF THE UNIVERSE

The Voltage alum is having her own show, featuring fall and winter 2010 items designed for the mass market. The collection features galactic-inspired, custom-printed fabrics designed by Minneapolis painters Melissa Breitenfeldt and Laura Weber.

CLOTHES OFF OUR BACKS

You know how seeing something on someone else makes you want it more? To celebrate its new location, Blacklist is letting you do just that. Live models ("mannequins") will be wearing off-the-rack fashions from the store and you can buy whatever you'd like and have purchases altered on-site by Sew Simple.

FASHION BALL 'CABARET CATWALK'

High style and a highly entertaining performance are what you can expect from a show produced and styled by Grant Whittaker and choreographed by Myron Johnson, both of whom have worked on Glamorama for years. With clothes and accessories from Grethen House, John Novachis, Specs Optical and Ann Lambrecht Jewelry.

A MAN'S SHOW

Fellas, feel neglected no more. This runway show will feature sartorial options from VState, Elsworth and Details Style Lab, and eyewear from the Spectacle Shoppe.

CHRISTOPHER STRAUB PREMIER COLLECTION

MNFashion Week will end with a fabulous fashion moment. The most famous local designer, Straub, of "Project Runway" fame, will present his new collection in grand style, and you'll get a better look at the designer who (sometimes) dazzled "Runway" judges Heidi, Nina and Michael.
