MnDOT's plans to scrub the Lowry Hill Tunnel have been, well, scrubbed.

The annual fall shut down to clean the dirt and grime off the walls and do routine maintenance work has been rescheduled to 10 p.m. Oct. 10 to 5 a.m. Oct. 11. It had been planned for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

When the work is done, the Westbound lanes of I-94 will be shut down at the Hennepin/Lyndale Avenue exit and eastbound lanes will be closed at I-394. Motorists will be detoured along the prohibited detour route along Hennepin and Lyndale avenues.
