A girl from St. Peter, Minn., who went missing early Friday was found safe Saturday afternoon a few miles north of town.
A group of deer hunters spotted Mya Arriage, 12, clinging to a tree on the shoreline of Robarts Creek around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. One of the hunters approached and held onto her until police arrived, said Sgt. Paul Hagen.
Authorities had described Mya as medically vulnerable.
Arriage's parents reported her missing a little before 5 a.m. Friday, about an hour after a motorist reported seeing a person in pajamas standing on the Hwy. 99 bridge in St. Peter. This is not the first time Mya has left home, Hagen said, adding that "it's been a little while since that's happened."
Late Saturday afternoon, she was receiving medical treatment, Hagen said.
