'Giantessence'

Fresh from their offbeat dance residency at Bedlam Lowertown, dancers/choreographers Missa Kes and Non Edwards return to the Bryant-Lake Bowl — where they put on their risk-taking debut performance "Super-Mad-Body-Jack." Their latest creation is an evening-length pursuit of enormity. Juxtaposing the Bryant-Lake Bowl's notorious small dimensions for a show that blows up standard conventions of femininity, the two emerging choreographers use dance and video projections to ruminate on what it means to take up space, using fractured narrative that weaves together fables and horror.
