Miss Puerto Rico was suspended from the Miss America pageant on Sunday after going on a Twitter tirade against Muslims and filmmaker Michael Moore.

In a since-deleted series of tweets, Destiny Velez, went after Moore's #WeAreAllMuslim campaign and claimed Muslims deserve the discrimination they're receiving from the likes of Donald Trump.

After widespread criticism, Velez apologized.

"I apologize to the people I have offended with my words. I am first and foremost an #UpStander and as such I stand up against bullying. The last thing I wanted to do was to bully anyone. Again,…" she tweeted.
