A teenager was charged Thursday by the Hennepin County attorney's office with shooting his father in the face at their Minnetonka home, severely wounding him.
Because the boy is under 16, the proceedings are not public and no further information can be released regarding the charges.
The 15-year-old was arrested Monday after shooting his father in the face, police said.
Police and other first responders were called about 5 p.m. regarding the sound of an explosion at a home in the 5400 block of Byscane Lane.
Officers found the teen unarmed outside the house.
The boy's father remains hospitalized in critical condition.
