Game recap

Key of the game: Clinging to a 21-16 lead late in the fourth quarter, Minnetonka linebacker Jack Burns was trailing Edina receiver Ray Washington, who was floating out into the flat, awaiting a pass. But the ball tipped off Washington's hand and Burns made a diving interception, allowing the Skippers to escape with a victory.

Quote: "That was my fault. We should have run it there. I don't know what I was thinking." — Minnetonka coach Dave Nelson after Edina intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, cutting the lead to 21-16.

One thing to know: Minnetonka tight end Jack Bennett's 4-yard touchdown reception in the second half was his first catch of the season. He celebrated with a wild end-zone dance.
