Owatonna native Anna Redman has made the first cut of "The Bachelor." Barely.

In a nail-biting season premiere, the Minnesotan received the next-to-last rose from Matt James, the first Black "Bachelor" in 25 seasons.

Redman, 24, who currently works as a copywriter in Chicago, didn't get a ton of airtime in Monday's two-hour episode, but she made something of an impression when first meeting her potential husband, offering him a "stress kit" to help him get through the night.

Redman's gift wasn't quite as memorable as what some other competitors came bearing. One carried a vibrator; another delivered pizza. Then there was the woman who showed up at the mansion in her underwear.

If Redman is to stick around a while, she'll have to lean heavily on her caffeinated spirit (she's a self-confessed coffee addict) and her love for the spotlight.

In her online bio, she shares how she grew up bowling and going to Applebees in small-town Minnesota, but that she was destined for big-city life. She's also TERRIFIED of fish and OBSESSED with cheese.

"The Bachelor" airs at 7 p.m. Mondays on KSTP, Ch 5.
