The Vikings won their third game in a row to improve to 7-8, but they lost quarterback J.J. McCarthy to another injury late in the first half against the Giants.

First, the good news: The Vikings have won three games in a row, beating the New York Giants 16-13 on Sunday to improve to 7-8 in their final road game of the season. Now, the bad news: In a game that began without left tackle Christian Darrisaw (knee), outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard (shoulder) and safety Josh Metellus (shoulder) in the lineup, the Vikings lost quarterback J.J. McCarthy (hand), running back Jordan Mason (ankle) and center Ryan Kelly (concussion) in the first half. Max Brosmer led the Vikings to the game-winning field goal by Will Reichard in the fourth quarter.
