A knee injury suffered by Minnesota United FC forward Stefano Pinho last Saturday won't wipe out his fall season.
Pinho, the reigning North American Soccer League most valuable player, was taken off the field on a stretcher in the 29th minute after a collision with a Miami FC player. Team physician Dr. Corey Wulf said in a news release Monday that the right knee injury "is minor in nature and we expect him to make a quick recovery."
Pinho has started 10 of 17 league matches and ranks second on the team with four goals scored.
United travels to FC Edmonton for a match Sunday.
