Crowd favorite John Daly will return to the 3M Championship golf tournament this summer, according to a news release. Daly last played the 3M in 2016, drawing some of the biggest galleries over the three-day event at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine for pro golfers 50 and over.

Minnesota native Tom Lehman and defending champion Paul Goydos have committed to playing as well.

The Greats of Golf exhibition event is also returning, headlined by PGA legends Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Lee Trevino and 10-time LPGA major champion Annika Sorenstam.

This year's tournament will be Aug. 3-5. It's the 26th and final installment; the 3M Open, a PGA Tour event, will begin in Blaine in 2019.
