Seven-year-old Aurora (Rory) is a sweet little girl who likes the simple things in life.

She might be timid when you first meet her, but once you get to know her she can be very chatty.

Rory likes to be active and is open to new activities. Her hobbies include playing with her Kindle tablet, playing with her dolls, coloring, playing dress-up and picking up rocks outside. She is not a picky eater and will eat almost anything.

The placement agency is looking for a patient and active family that can provide consistency, stability and lots of one-on-one attention for Rory. It would be best if she was the youngest child in the household.

Following adoption, Rory will need to maintain regular contact with her siblings. Only Minnesota families are being considered at this time.

For more information on adopting or fostering one of Minnesota's Waiting Children, please contact MN ADOPT, mnadopt.org or call 612-861-7115.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
