The Minnesota Orchestra -- citing chilly, windy weather -- has cancelled its outdoor performance at the Lake Harriet Band Shell on Friday.
The orchestra announced Thursday that it was nixing the free hourlong program due to "particularly cold temperatures and windy conditions that make performing outdoors challenging."
The nonprofit invited would-be attendees to its Saturday concert at Orchestra Hall, a season sampler. To nab free tickets to that 8 p.m. show, visit minnesotaorchestra.org or call 612-371-5656 and use promo code 1920SAMPLESAT.
