Those devilish hip-hop purveyors Atmosphere have a new single with another celebrity-invoking title, "Salma Hayek." The track debuted online last week, timed to the start of the group's statewide Texas tour, a replacement to its "Welcome to MN" tours of prior springs. Guess it's a lot nicer in Lubbock than Bemidji this time of year. … Night Moves will return to First Ave on April 14 to kick off a tour behind its long-awaited sophomore album, "Pennied Days," which arrives March 25 on the Domino label (home to Animal Collective and Arctic Monkeys). A limited-edition version of the LP and the second single, "Carl Sagan," can both be found at Domino RecordCo.com. …

Hymie's Vintage Records is planning another big block party at Lake Street and 39th Avenue S. on Record Store Day, April 16, with performers including Bruise Violet, Charlie Parr, Black Market Brass and Shadow in the Cracks. … The Cabooze has a new booker. Jeff Taube has left the club for other pursuits, and his replacement, Jeneen Anderson, is already lining up acts for summer. … Jazz piano great Laura Caviani is pairing up with the all-star Pete Whitman X-tet for a special show Saturday at Hopkins Center for the Arts (8 p.m., $12-$26). … Fans shut out of Cloud Cult's long-sold-out State Theatre concert March 12 have two other options to see them in state: this Friday at the Mayo Center in Rochester and next Friday at Grandma's Sports Garden in Duluth. …

New band alert: Butcher's Union, featuring Paddy Costello (D4) and Christy Hunt (Pink Mink), performs at the Turf Club on Friday with the Hussys. Costello will return to the venue March 17 with Dillinger Four to celebrate his namesake holiday. … Memphis-based music journalist Bob Mehr is hosting a Q&A and showing some rare video at the Turf Club on Saturday at 4 p.m. to promote his new book, "Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements," published last week by Da Capo Press. Experimental hip-hop faves Kill the Vultures are the fourth and final act announced for the Star Tribune-produced Are You Local? showcase at First Avenue on March 11. They join the lineup with Allan Kingdom, the two-thirds-local, nationally buzzing R&B/synth-pop band King and contest winners Holidae, featuring singer Ashley Gold and electronic producer Garrett Neal.
