Bemidji area: Fishing has remained good on area lakes. Anglers fishing for walleyes are having success on area lakes such as Andrusia, Bemidji and Plantagenet. Northern pike fishing has been very good in the area. Bass are getting caught off the weed edges and bluegills, and crappies are being pulled from the weed lines.

Detroit Lakes area: Anglers are having success finding walleyes on many area lakes, especially in depths of 19 to 26 feet. Bass have remained active in shallow waters, and anglers are finding northern pike off the sharper breaks in depths of 14 to 20 feet. Anglers are hooking some muskies, particularly during the early morning. Crappies have been active in depths of 7 to 12 feet.

Duluth area: Fishing on area streams has been productive, with catches of native brown and brook trout reported. The walleye bite on the St. Louis River has been good. On inland waters, bass fishing has been good but the walleye bite has slowed. Anglers are catching some walleyes in low-light hours.

Lake of the Woods: The south shore of the lake has yielded a good number of walleyes. The walleye bite has been good in numerous areas, with anglers having the most success trolling the deep mud in depths to feet. The walleye bite has been good near the Northwest Angle, too.

St. Croix River: Despite prevailing forage, the walleye bite has remained good. Walleyes, along with smallmouth bass and crappies, are in depths of 12 to 20 feet, because the forage has remained shallow. Anglers are having success using crankbaits, crawlers, jigging raps and leeches. The river's water clarity has been high.

Southwest metro: Anglers on Lake Waconia are having success finding bass, crappies and sunfish, according to In Towne Marina in Waconia. Bass are off Cemetery, Center and North reefs. Crappies are in depths of 12 to 14 feet, while sunfish are in depths of 4 to 10 feet. Anglers have found walleyes in late evening by Anderson's, Keg's and North reefs.
