• 80 percent of students will score proficient or higher on state math and reading tests. • 80 percent of students will reach the threshold score on their college entrance exam. • Race and income achievement gaps will be cut by 75 percent. How?

• Restart or close the lowest-performing schools and give more flexibility to the lowest and highest-performing schools. • Develop highly effective corps of principals and teachers. • Build widespread support and partnerships to get results. • Set clear expectations for all staff members at every level; reward success, support and develop, but remove low performers when required. • Create and sustain a positive financial position.
