A 13-year-old girl whom Minneapolis police had asked for help in locating was found safe late Wednesday, police said.
Fardowso Ibrahim Hassan had last been seen near her home in the 3500 block of Morgan Avenue N. on Sunday evening, police said earlier Wednesday. Police spokesman John Elder said then that she "may be in danger."
"Minneapolis Police are happy to announce that Fardowso Hassan has been located and is safe," Elder said late Wednesday in a news release. Police did not offer any further information about her disappearance or where she was found.
Her disappearance did not result in an Amber Alert because there was no suspect or vehicle description, police said.
