A 25-year-old Minneapolis man has been charged with robbing three Walgreens drugstores of powerful narcotics in less than a week.
Vincent M. Smith, who authorities say is homeless, was charged Tuesday with the robberies at two Walgreens in Minneapolis and one in Hopkins. Police say he used a handgun in two of the robberies.
He was arrested Saturday at the Walgreens at 5415 Lyndale Av. S. in Minneapolis, when a clerk saw him enter and suspected he might be the robber of the other stores, police said. Smith admitted to the three robberies, authorities said.
