Police said Monday that the person fatally shot inside a north Minneapolis home the previous night was a 28-year-old man.

Authorities have yet to make an arrest in the homicide, which occurred about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on the 3500 block of Emerson Avenue N.

The man, shot several times, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died, police said.

While authorities have yet to release the man's identity, numerous family and friends on Facebook are mourning the killing of Anthony C. Hill-Prowell, who lived at the home where the shooting occurred.

A motive for his death has yet to be addressed by police.

Police asked that anyone with information text TIP411, enter MPD, a space, then the information, or call the police tip line at 612-692-8477. Texts are anonymous.
