Minneapolis investigates two more homicides Minneapolis police were searching for suspects in the city's latest homicides.

On Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting after 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Bryant Avenue N. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified Sunday as Naquain D. Brown, 35, of Minneapolis.

Police found a second victim lying nearby. That person, whose name has not been released, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. A third victim involved in the shooting was admitted to Hennepin County Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

Around 1 a.m. Sunday, a Minneapolis man in his 30s was shot dead in an alley in the 400 block of 24th Avenue N. His name had not been released.

Police said the two homicides aren't related.

The two homicides bring the number in Minneapolis to 26 for the year.

On Monday, authorities identified two men killed Thursday in Minneapolis. Jamall Djama, 29, was stabbed to death in his South Side home by a 15-year-old acquaintance. The teen was arrested and is awaiting charges.

The other victim, Kendell D Johnson, 28, of Brooklyn Park, was shot to death on the North Side.

Information sought in Minnetonka rape Hennepin County Sheriff's investigators are seeking the public's help to find suspects in a stranger rape reported on a small lake in Minnetonka about a week ago.

According to authorities, around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 2, a woman sitting in a boat that was tied to a dock on Libbs Lake was approached by three men. She told police that one of the men sexually assaulted her.

ID for woman who fell from St. Croix bridge The woman who fell to her death from the Arcola High Bridge over the St. Croix River has been identified as a 20-year-old from West Lakeland Township, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Laura McDonald fell about 180 feet from the middle of the railroad bridge to an island and died, said Sheriff Bill Hutton.

McDonald and a friend, a 20-year-old man from Stillwater, were on the bridge shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday when the woman fell, Hutton said.

Woman, 52, is killed in motorcycle crash A motorcyclist died Sunday after she collided with a guardrail and spilled her bike, Carver County Sheriff Bud Olson said.

The 52-year-old woman from Hopkins was alone on the motorcycle when the accident occurred at 4:10 p.m. on County Road 40 about three-quarters of a mile north of Hwy. 25 in San Francisco Township, Olson said.

The woman's name has not been released.

Two-car crash kills one, injures two others An elderly woman was killed and two other women were hospitalized after two cars collided in East Bethel Monday.

A vehicle driven by an 85-year-old East Bethel woman and carrying an 87-year-old passenger apparently ran through a stop sign and was struck as it entered County Road 22, said Lt. Paul Sommer of the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. The passenger was killed on impact, Sommer said.

The driver was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital and listed in serious condition. The driver of the other car, a 30-year-old woman from Anoka, was taken to Mercy Hospital. She had multiple fractures, Sommer said.

The names of the drivers involved were not released. The identity of the woman killed was not released, pending a medical examiner's report, Sommer said.

PAUL LEVY Alcohol may have played role in St. Cloud death Authorities have identified a man killed Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle in St. Cloud, Minn.

The State Patrol said Michael McCoy, 23, of Waite Park, was lying in the left lane of Roosevelt Road just south of 22nd Street when he was hit at 12:09 a.m.

It was unclear why the man was lying in the road, but police said alcohol might have played a role.
