Minneapolis investigates two more homicides Minneapolis police were searching for suspects in the city's latest homicides.
On Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting after 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Bryant Avenue N. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified Sunday as Naquain D. Brown, 35, of Minneapolis.
Police found a second victim lying nearby. That person, whose name has not been released, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. A third victim involved in the shooting was admitted to Hennepin County Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, a Minneapolis man in his 30s was shot dead in an alley in the 400 block of 24th Avenue N. His name had not been released.
Police said the two homicides aren't related.
The two homicides bring the number in Minneapolis to 26 for the year.
On Monday, authorities identified two men killed Thursday in Minneapolis. Jamall Djama, 29, was stabbed to death in his South Side home by a 15-year-old acquaintance. The teen was arrested and is awaiting charges.
The other victim, Kendell D Johnson, 28, of Brooklyn Park, was shot to death on the North Side.
